COCO Fundraising event – Sponsored by That’s Bang-on

TBO recently sponsored COCO’s Red Ribbon Ball fundraising event for children living in poverty overseas. As part of our sponsorship we printed all of the event programmes, alongside Dandy Events who managed the décor and Marriott Hotel Gosforth who provided the venue. The event was held on the 3rd December and raised £13,800, making it a successful night indeed!

Below is a kindly recieved letter of thanks we from COCO…

I wanted to write and thank you for your assistance with COCO’s recent Red Ribbon Ball which took place last weekend.

It was such a pleasure to work with you and your team on the programmes and I loved the finished result! I really appreciate the time that you were able to donate for the design and for sponsoring the print of the programmes, in such tough economic times it really helped with making the event a success and has ensured we can send more funds to our projects.

In total we raised £13,800 and it was thanks to companies and people like you that we were able to do this.

As 2011 draws to a close COCO are looking forward to a busy 2012 and I hope you will be part of our plans as we aim to raise even more for children living in poverty overseas.

Designed, printed and completed all in time for Christmas!

Christmas is on its way and that busy hum of anticipation is in the air once again. But how do we keep our children entertained and out of trouble whilst we go shopping? Well, local company, Edelweiss Christmas Trees has come up with a solution…

Children’s entertainment goodie-bags. They came to us at the start of the festive season with their idea and so we got to work producing 1000 bags of fun! In addition to designing and printing all the whole emsemble, including customisation of a small booklet and bookmark, we also sourced the toys, stencils and crayons and made up the bags ready to go! We delievered the whole kit ‘n’ kaboodle in time for Santa himself to hand them out to all the children visiting Edelweiss this December! Just doing our bit to make Christmas that little bit more special!

Arthur Holmes Geological Society

The Arthur Holmes Geological Society is a university establishment that was first formed by Durham University students in 1949.

Still running in 2011 we thought it was high time we ordered some new stash (society clothing)! After asking for many quotes and prowling around the internet for a good deal on printing we finally chose That’s Bang-on to print our society T-shirts and we are very glad  we did!

Locally born Arthur Holmes was the first professor of Geology in Durham. He was nicknamed ‘the father of modern Geochronology’ after he performed the first uranium-lead dating of a rock whilst still an undergraduate! He later published the world renowned book ‘The Age of the Earth’ in 1913 in which he estimated the Earth’s age to be 1600Ma.

Things have changed a little bit since the Arthur Holme’s times, but the societie’s ethos remains the same! Although there may have been a little bit more self-humouring injected…

With this in mind we’d like to thank That’s Bang-on! for printing our society t-shirts (sporting some fantastic puns!) at an excellent cost and under such relaxed conditions.

It’s a very common occurrence in the factory for a customer to arrive needing their printing done “ASAP”. The promoters of a new club night ‘Miss Fussy’ we’re one of these such customers. With the launch party happening that very evening, they needed their banners, posters and staff outfits printing within a couple hours so that they could start setting up. Luckily, this is what That’s Bang-on specialize in and within just a few hours our designers had created the artwork and the team at production printed the goods. Here’s the finished result…
